Qualification and Manufacturing Standard

ARCTOS works according to European and international standards

Qualification and Manufacturing Standard of ARCTOS

ARCTOS builds, among other things, according to customer requirements while complying with the requirements of the DGRL and ATEX Directive.

DGRL 2014/68/EU

The Pressure Equipment Directive (DGRL) sets the requirements for pressure equipment that must be observed for placing on the market within the European Economic Area.

The certificate includes the supervision of the acceptance of pressure equipment according to Directive 2014/68/EU. ARCTOS is authorized, after verification of the conditions, to mark the pressure equipment manufactured by it within the scope of the module with the CE 0045 mark: The internal production control with acceptance monitoring (Module A2) was tested according to Directive 2014/68/EU.

The certificate includes the acceptance of piping in refrigeration systems in pressure levels PN25, PN40, and PN63 for NH3, CO2, and hydrocarbons such as propane, butane, etc., and general refrigerants.

Factory Standards

  • EG Single Acceptance according to DGRL (2014/68/EU)

SCC** – Safety Certificate Contractors

To ensure the quality and safety standards of many clients, ARCTOS has voluntarily qualified.

The ARCTOS occupational safety management system is certified according to SCC** based on the occupational safety manual of ARCTOS Industriekälte AG.

SCC ensures compliance with an international standard for safety, health, and environmental protection for technical service providers (e.g., for installation and maintenance work).

It includes the SCC** regulations, the core of which is the SCC** checklist, according to which an independent auditing company conducts audits at ARCTOS.

Sustainability Rating Platform EcoVadis

ARCTOS Industriekälte AG has achieved the bronze recognition level on the sustainability rating platform EcoVadis for evaluating the environmental and social practices of companies.

This demonstrates and ensures compliance and transparency of the company's working practices regarding environment, social responsibility, and ethics.

Specialist Company according to WHG with Implementation according to AwSV

The Water Resources Act (WHG) regulates both the use and protection of the water resource in Germany. This includes the management and responsible use of water.

ARCTOS has entered into a monitoring agreement for activities as a specialist company according to WHG with a certified body. This agreement ensures regular monitoring of the specialist company for compliance with the requirements of the WHG for activities involving facilities that handle water-endangering liquids.

These activities at ARCTOS include: installing, setting up, and maintaining systems for the use of non-flammable liquids, limited to refrigeration systems.

Factory Standards

ARCTOS Industrial Refrigeration AG has its own quality assurance system.

Furthermore, every system that leaves the Sörup factory or is constructed on-site undergoes a CE single inspection according to Directive 2014/68/EU (Pressure Equipment Directive), which is conducted in coordination with TÜV Nord.

The assessment of the conformity of the refrigeration system with the European Directive 2014/34/EU is carried out in close collaboration with the relevant certification bodies.

Additional inspections can certainly be carried out upon request. In the case that your company is located abroad, country-specific inspections can also be performed.
