Safety in Handling NH3 Refrigeration Systems

Since 2020, ARCTOS has been offering the training course "Safety in Handling NH3 Refrigeration Systems" in an online format. This allows you to train your employees in handling ammonia (R717) regardless of time and location.

Employers or operators of refrigeration systems are required to instruct their employees (insured individuals) before they begin work for the first time and at appropriate intervals, but at least once a year, on:

  • the hazards associated with handling refrigeration systems and cooling equipment,
  • the safety regulations,
  • the actions to take in case of accidents or malfunctions and the measures to be implemented.

Basic information on handling ammonia (R717) and safety guidelines can be found in our PDF document.
