In addition to testing and qualification according to national, European, and international standards, ARCTOS Industriekälte AG has its own quality assurance system.
Furthermore, each system leaving the Flensburg/Sörup plant or being installed on-site undergoes an individual inspection in accordance with Directive 2014/68/EU (Pressure Equipment Directive), which is carried out in coordination with TÜV Nord.
The conformity assessment for the refrigeration system in accordance with the European ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU (is carried out in close cooperation with the relevant certification bodies).
Upon request, additional tests can be performed. If your company is located abroad, local tests can also be carried out after prior coordination.
- If required, a conformity assessment for the refrigeration system will be carried out in accordance with the ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU.
- ARCTOS Industriekälte AG and ARCTOS Maintenance GmbH have an SGU management system in compliance with the SCC** standard (Safety Certificate Contractors).
- ARCTOS Industriekälte AG is a specialist company according to WHG, with implementation in accordance with AwSV and its own quality management system.
- CE single inspection according to the Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU and CE0045 marking for new systems, manufactured according to European regulations.
- The design of refrigeration systems is carried out using Autodesk Plant 3D CAD software in combination with Inventor, enabling precise planning of installation, piping, collision checks, and accurate material takeoffs.
- ARCTOS Industriekälte AG has achieved the bronze recognition level on the EcoVadis sustainability assessment platform for evaluating environmental and social practices of companies.
DGRL 2014/68/EU
The Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) establishes the requirements for pressure equipment that must be complied with for placing it on the market within the European Economic Area. The certificate includes the monitoring of the acceptance of pressure equipment according to Directive 2014/68/EU.
ARCTOS is authorized, after verifying the requirements, to mark the pressure equipment it manufactures within the scope of the module with the CE 0045 mark.
The internal production control with acceptance monitoring (Module A2) was tested according to Directive 2014/68/EU.
The certificate covers the acceptance of piping in refrigeration systems in pressure stages PN25, PN40, and PN63 for NH3, CO2, and hydrocarbons such as propane, butane, etc., and general refrigerants.
SCC**-Safety Certificate Contractors
To ensure the quality and safety standards of many clients, ARCTOS has voluntarily qualified itself.
The ARCTOS Occupational Safety Management System is certified according to SCC** based on the ARCTOS Industriekälte AG Occupational Safety Manual.
SCC** serves to comply with an international standard for safety, health, and environmental protection for technical service providers (e.g. for assembly and maintenance work).
It includes the SCC** regulatory framework, with the heart of the system being the SCC** checklist, according to which an independent auditing company conducts audits at ARCTOS.
Specialist company according to the WHG with implementation according to the AwSV
Specialist company according to the Water Resources Act (WHG) with implementation according to the Ordinance on Facilities for Handling Water-Hazardous Substances (AwSV).
The Water Resources Act (WHG) regulates both the use and the protection of the water resource in Germany.
This includes the management and sustainable handling of water.
ARCTOS has entered into a monitoring agreement for activities as a specialist company according to the WHG with a certified organization.
This contract ensures regular monitoring of the specialist company for compliance with the requirements of the Water Resources Act (WHG) regarding activities related to systems handling water-polluting liquids.
These activities at ARCTOS include: installing, setting up, and maintaining systems for using non-flammable liquids, limited to refrigeration systems.
ATEX
In the chemical and petrochemical industries, as well as in other sectors, production facilities are often located in explosion-hazardous areas.
Accordingly, electrical and mechanical explosion protection must be applied to these refrigeration systems in accordance with the ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU.
When constructing explosion-protected systems, our experience pays off doubly: You not only save time in planning and procurement but also reduce additional work during the approval process.
The correct selection of materials and components avoids subsequent corrections to the system.
By correctly creating application documents, time-consuming revisions of planning and documentation are avoided.
Both of these prevent additional costs in construction and operation of the system, as well as delays in the issuance of the ATEX conformity declaration and additional modification work.
ARCTOS has extensive experience in the Ex-area and is in close contact with the certification bodies.
